Barnstable Real Estate

Barnstable real estate is ideally located on the southeastern hook of Cape Cod, with the bay to the north and the Atlantic Ocean to the east. The name of Barnstable MA refers to the county as well as the town, and the town includes seven villages within its boundaries. Each village generally splits up the residential and commercial districts of the Barnstable real estate area.

Osterville, located on the south side, is mainly residential, while Hyannis offers the county's main commercial avenue which includes town offices and several shopping malls. Hyannis can also be known as a fishing village with harbor, providing access to Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket Island. The village of West Barnstable is the resort section of the county, including Sandy Neck Barrier Beach and the County Complex Houses, which is another small working harbor servicing the Barnstable real estate county.
